AQUAGUARD 950

Boiler deposits often form due to common feedwater contaminates. These deposits act as insulators preventing effective heat transfer and reducing boiler efficiency. They may also lead to overheating and under deposit corrosion.

Traditionally these deposits are cleaned by temporarily removing the boiler from service and acidizing. In some cases, this may be impractical due to costly downtime or extensive requirements for safe handling and application of the acid cleaning solution.

AQUAGUARD 950 has been developed as an alternative to traditional acid cleaning. AQUAGUARD 950 is designed to be continuously fed to boilers with mild to moderate scale issues to effectively remove boiler scale without requiring costly downtime associated with traditional acid cleaning. While using this product you should continue use of your regular boiler water treatment program.

INDUSTRY APPLICATIONS

AQUAGUARD 950 should be used in a controlled manner to clean both fire tube and water tube boiler systems with mild to moderate scale issues. For heavily scaled boilers an out of service cleaning program should be considered. Online scale treatment is not effective when the scale to be cleaned is primarily composed of silicates or iron oxides, or in cases where the scale lacks the porosity necessary for effective removal.
